Xbox 360: How to add storage

Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 requires quite a bit of internal memory to store updates, scores, and other data. If the memory is full, there are only two solutions for you: you need to make room on the Xbox 360 or you need to add more memory.

Solutions to add storage space: Xbox 360

There are a number of different approaches you can take to adding more memory to your Xbox 360. The options are:
  1. You can expand the memory with a USB stick. To do this, go to “Settings”> “System”> “Storage” after you have connected the stick to the Xbox 360 and configure it as a storage medium for the console. Then simply save a few games on it.
  2. This is also possible with an external hard drive, which often has more storage space than a normal USB stick. You configure the memory exactly as described for the USB stick.
  3. You can also use one of the officially supported memory cards for the Xbox.
  4. Finally, there is also the option of adding a larger hard drive to the Xbox 360.
  5. If you are looking for solutions that are free, you have no choice but to clean up your Xbox memory. To do this, you can uninstall some games or delete user profiles that are no longer up-to-date. If the Xbox 360 doesn't have any data that is relevant to you, you can also perform a factory reset on the console before using it. This will delete all data.
