daily: “Philisterburg” - audio walk based on the story by Jacques Decour

Jacques Decour, who lived in Magdeburg for a few months at the age of 20 in 1930, describes in diary entries a colorful, lively city, but at the same time also a torn society that is heading for fascism. The audio walk begins at the Schauspielhaus and follows Decour's footsteps through today's Magdeburg.

On May 27th is the first time the theater film "The Dividers"online from 6 p.m. for 24 hoursfree of charge presented on the website of the Theater Magdeburg, after which it can be booked as video on demand, especially for schools and larger groups. A conversation with the director and other participants in the production can then also be accessed online.

The focus is on a friendship between two children in a French suburb that defies any resentment and everyday racism. The 45-minute film was shot entirely at different locations in the empty Schauspielhaus Magdeburg, with Isabel Will and Philip Heimke taking over the leading roles. The stream and the demonstration at schools is supported by the Friends of the Magdeburg Theater.
