What if Tesla makes weapons

Electric car: Tesla Model X has a bioweapons defense button

The bioweapons defense mode in the new Tesla X electric car is a cabin filter and, according to Tesla boss Elon Musk, is able to purify the air. When activated, the HEPA filter should even be able to trap toxins from the air you breathe. Of course, Tesla does not plan for a state of war, but wants to use the filter to address a problem in many metropolises worldwide.

In Chinese, American and European countries there are many cities and regions whose residents are struggling with high levels of air pollution. Tesla has recognized the problem and offers a cabin filter that is supposed to filter even tiny particles out of the air. The buyer can also order a package from Daimler and other manufacturers that proceeds thoroughly. The Air Balance Kit from Daimler, which is available for the S and C Class, also perfumes the air.

Tesla has a preference for naming interesting functions based on science fiction formats. With the Ludicrous Mode (crazy mode) in its electric cars, Tesla describes a function that promises particularly high acceleration. The name goes back to a scene from the 1987 science fiction comedy Spaceballs directed by Mel Brooks.

So far, the Tesla Model S P85D only had a so-called insane mode, with which the vehicle can reach 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. Ludicrous Mode brings the car to just under 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds for an additional $ 10,000. The mode is also available for the Model X family SUV.
