What is a CFX artist

The newest member of the Yamaha Piano Artists family: Michele Campanella

The internationally acclaimed Italian concert pianist Michele Campanella is considered an outstanding and sensitive Franz Liszt interpreter. As a graduate of the Vincenzo School in Naples, he not only has countless CD recordings, but also plays regularly in all well-known concert halls around the world, both with orchestra and solo.

Like other Yamaha artists, Michele Campanella is a popular and admired teacher, thanks not least to his fiery enthusiasm and unconditional endeavor to pass his experiences on to new generations of pianists. In 2014, the Republic of Italy awarded him the “Knight of the Order of Merit”, which is only awarded to artists who can be shown to have rendered outstanding services to art, literature or public service.

Michele made a conscious decision to buy the Yamaha CFX: “About ten years ago someone asked me to play their Yamaha CFIIIS grand piano. Even then I was very open to new discoveries and cared very little about the logo that was on the instrument - it was much more important to me that the instrument ‘told me a story’. And now I have risen to become a ‘Yamaha artist’. By the way, both words are equally important to me, as I've dedicated my whole life to the search for the ‘perfect sound’. For this you need like-minded people who are at your side with advice and action - in this regard I would like to express my great praise to the employees of Yamaha Italy. "
